(Interview: John Vlachogiannis)
Connected. Let’s connect through music…. What can you say about you? Who is Ashaki in your eyes?
Ashaki is a hopeful romantic, a lover of life and the arts and all things that represent Love.
Love Will Find A Way! In a world full of evil, violence and big money, do you believe that there are ways to preserve our values? And how music can pass a message to the world?
I know that love is the most powerful force in the universe and it can transcend all things. With the crash of the stock market, global warming, extreme gun violence and a host of other life events. I believe it has brought the world to a more spiritual place as a whole. Where love, family, friends and making real connections are what’s real. Not one day is promised and you can’t take any of your power or things with you. Life it self has revealed what’s really important.
Music has no barriers it brings people together all across the world and heals people in a way like no other. IE this interview 🙂
Let’s talk about something really special! “Something Special” sounds like a heavenly present! A beautiful voice meets melody serenity! How can you describe the album?
Something Special is just that! A collection of love lost and love gained all the juicy stuff in between. It puts a smile on your face and brings peace to your heart!
What inspires you to create? What makes you feel brighter? Can music illuminate the darkness?
I am inspired by all things! A beautiful day when the sun feels like it’s shining just for you. Being in love or watching lovers pass me on the street. A beautiful movie or song that touches a special place in me. Those are all things that make me feel brighter. Music has always illuminated the darkness and it will continue to forever its timeless!
What do you remember most strongly from your childhood?
I remember having parents that were fashion designers and musicians. Living in a loft before it was popular and having a swing in the house. Waking up to complete freedom and creativity it was never a dull moment.
Do you have a message to share with Poping Cherry?
It’s a cliché, but believing in your self and following your own voice and intuition is the only way to live!!! Be fearless! Live it up!! Make each day a beautiful memory what ever that is for you!!
Thank you so much for the beautiful life Ashaki!
